At last

My daughter, son in law and baby grandson are on their way home. Boy are they quick. Left Mildura on the NSW/Vic border at about 8 pm there time yesterday and just had a phone call from her and she will arrive at about 7 am Sunday morning thats tomorrow!! In Perth.

I can't wait to see them again, but just know they will be safe and sound I am happy.

On Thursday Howie and I went for a day's outing. Drove down thru a place called Dryandra just south west of us. So we drove around a lot all day. Looking at things ... took heaps of photos of places. Found a place that might prove interesting to go back too during Winter for a weekend getaway. Open fires etc etc.

So here is a picture of a flower on one of the trees out that way. Think its a gum of some sort. Not too sure whats its called but its beautiful.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

To all my family and friends.

We had a very quiet night, was in bed at 10.30 or thereabouts and up again at 11.55 so I could watch a delayed telecast of Sydney fireworks.

So here is the first card for the year. Made it for a friend of a friend who isn't well.

Hi all,

Above is another lot of Christmas cards I have done. Not sure if I will be sending them out next year. This year it cost me over $100 just on postage, and adding the cost of cardstock, inks etc etc... well may stick to just birthday cards.. not sure yet.

And yes I have cased some of them from others so thank you if I have used one of your designs.

My son

Not a good clear picture. But this young man has made both his father and I very proud of him. He is in the process of joining the Volunteer Fire Brigade here in our town. He has been out with them a few times, coming home most nights black with soot but happy. He still has to go to Perth and do some training and some training here as well before he is 'qualified'. Maybe one day in the future he may decide to go back to the big city and become a fireman.

Will not say sorry, but its a proud mum's moment :)

Christmas cards

Ok... so over the last two months or so I have been making over 50 Christmas cards. Will show you a few here now. I hope to get back to blogging very soon and my New Year resolution is to make and show one card per day if possible :) Ignore the third one on the first row, someone who we won't mention scanned it with a note inside it and NO it wasn't me *grin*
